Ramadhan activities

Similar to previous years, we had Ihya' Ramadhan programme, tadarus (same old group), iftar and tarawih, daily (free) breaking fast meal at our cafe for officers who stayed back late, weekly tazkirah, khatam Al-Quran programme and distribution of bubur lambuk and gulai kawah.

It has been a great month. Alhamdulillah. Here, we really cherish the beautiful month of Ramadhan. I love my office.

Ramadhan at my office

Ramadhan at my office is the best month of the year.

Earlier this month (Ramadhan), we have Ihya Ramadhan event. There were tazkirah, nasyid performance, tadarus with the Hon Minister and Zuhur congregational prayer.

Everyone received a box of dates and Islamic books.

I joined tadarus AlQuran ever year with the same group. We have another 17 pages to go! yay!

Then there was Iftar. I went there with the whole family. TokPa sat at our table and had a chat with my family.

My kids perform full tarawikh that night and they received duit raya from TokPa. We bring home a plenty of moreh's food. See that three small kids with brown baju melayu below? That's them. I didnt join them because I was running around chasing baby Nazmi.

Today, there were Kulliyyah Ramadhan on Halalan Toyyiban (food) and distribution of bubur lambuk and gulai kawah by TokPa. 

I also received a box of dates from UAE's Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, as last year. Today's rezeki. Bubur lambuk, gulai kawah and dates. Alhamdulillah.

Every night throughout Ramadhan, my office prepared iftar for those who stayed back (officers, maintenance office, guards, police officers).

It is a very fulfilling month. I love Ramadhan at my office.

Majlis Khatam AlQuran

The highlight of Ramadhan programmes at my office. Majlis Khatam AlQuran. Alhamdullilah, it was a great event indeed.

Everyone involved in the Tadarus AlQuran throughout this holy month received these. Beautifully embroidered praying robe, bunga telur (bunga is "flower" and telur is "egg" –i.e. fully boiled chicken egg wrapped decoratively) which is the traditional Malay gift and Pulut Kuning (served with beef rendang), as symbol of gratitude and appreciation in Malay occasions.

Ramadhan at my office

We welcome Ramadhan with Ihya Ramadhan programme. Tazkirah, congregational prayer and Tadarus session with the Hon Minister.

I didnt expect we are going to receive these generous gifts. Alhamdulillah. Tafsir AlQuran, a few kitabs, dates and bubur lambuk.

As usual, we have Tadarus session everyday. I was in the same group as last year. 

There are weekly ilminar as well. But I havent had a chance to attend any of them yet. 

There was bubur lambuk giveaway by the Hon Minister and the rest of the top management. The bubur lambuk was extremely tasty!

Second week of Ramadhan, my office had organised Majlis Iftar for the whole organisation. No photo for the session. If anyone happened to take a photo that night, please email it to me. 

Apart from that, my office also provide iftar on daily basis for officers who need to stay back at the office to finish their work. How thoughtful is that? There is tazkirah session before iftar and they will perform Maghrib prayer together.. 

The Khatam AlQuran session will be held this week. I hope I can make it in the afternoon since baby Nazmi's monthly check up is in the morning. Have I told you I work in the best office ever?
