Corporate Club Annual Dinner : Pop Colour Nite

Last Friday was the last time I joined the Corporate Club Dinner since I have been transferred to a new office in March 2012.

It was a kind of bittersweet moment since Corporate Club is the best club I've joined so far with a great mix of personalities, and I have to say goodbye to them after the great 5 years together.
Enjoy the photos. Taken from Eiza's (the one in baby blue pant) and Radhi Yaa's albums. Will update more from my husband's camera. Later.

For those who are not familiar with Corporate Club GRAND Dinner, these are the themes for our previous dinners :

The first dinner, 2008 (theme : Black and White) - I won the best dress :)
The second dinner, 2009 (theme : Retro Nite) - I won the title Queen of Retro 2009. I went all out for the hall deco.
The third dinner, 2010 (theme : Red Nite) - I received Penjawat Awam Contoh Award. My husband asked me to only wear baju kurung (*cough* dress down *cough*) for this dinner.
The forth dinner, 2011 (theme : Bolly Nite) - I won the Maharani of the Night. I also went all out for the hall deco this time around.
The fifth dinner, 2012 (theme : Pop Colour Night) - this post.

For the last 3 dinners, I was in-charged for the hall deco. I always arrived late because I have to get the hall ready until the last minute, went back and prepare my kids. This time around, I attended as a guest and BOY! that was a great feeling to have!!

I didnt have to be worried about the installation of the decorative elements, where to buy the most classy-looking deco but CHEAP, who are patient enough to help me with the work, heavy deco that might fall down when people start coming, the centrepiece, the dance floor, the lighting, the candles that might burn down the hall and of course, the aftermath (people start to go home towards the end of the dinner, so there will be a few left to clean the hall - usually the group who stayed back for the clean up session are the same committed group of people and I am glad they were my ex-colleagues from International Unit - and of course my husband and kids).
The iron ladies from the International Unit - Nadia (in turqoise pants) was crowned as the Pop Colour Queen 2012. Good job! You guys should maintain the title within our Unit with your classy style, ok? Nura (in pink tunic) won the best dress in 2010 (Red Nite).

Love the food. Love the deco. Kudos to the team who worked hard to decorate the hall, blew hundreds of colourful balloons and prepare the props. You know who you are. When you see a lot of people took photos at the designated areas / photo corner, it means that you've succeed :)

Before I end... guys, remember to use masking tape. NEVER USE double-sided tape, ya! I can see the agony of peeling the remaining double sided tape off the wall during the aftermath :)

On 6 January 2012, Corporate Club had organised a Bollywood Night or in short BollyNite. It is our 4th annual dinner. The first one was Black & White Dinner. Second one was Retro Nite. Third one was Red Nite. Everybody is looking forward for this event every year because we have a chance to dressed to the nines.

Corporate Club Annual Dinner : Red Night

Last January 2011, we had our Annual Corporate Club Dinner. Since the theme is Red & Black, so they decided to call it Red Night. My Photoshop software is currently not working so I couldnt edit the photos. Anyway, I just post a couple of photos here to show happy faces of Red Night. Enjoy.

International Unit recited international poem that night (in Japanese, Greek, Tagalog, Korean and Hindi). Good job, guys!

Congrats to Nura and Yasir, the Queen and King of the Night.

Also, congrats to all finalist for Penjawat Awam Contoh Award - Nura, Rafidah, Naji, Wardi dan yours truly.

Thanks to all who helped me to turn the dull hall into awesome Red & Black-themed hall!!! TQVM.

Corporate Club Annual Dinner : Retro Night

The preparation went smoothly. Be it for the costume for the whole family or the Retro hall itself. Kudos to all, esp the decoration team. I know you guys worked hard towards the end.
Now, let's talk about the baju. I've spent quite some times to search for the right retro cloth for my kids. To no avail. Since I decided to be a hippie myself, so, I bought two tie-n-dye mini dresses and transformed them to be a little hippie shirt for my boys. It only took a few hours. Skill : Basic.

Then, the dress for me. Tie-n-dye. I planned to make my own, but since I am pretty occupied with piles of work, so, I bought it. I have different [great] plan, but it turned out to be otherwise. The combination was actually disastrous, well, hippie to combine with the classic 70s granny look, but since people liked it, well, I dont mind bringing back the hamper :o) [thank you! thank you!] So, I assume I managed to pull it off, despite constant mumbling by my sister - "what is so retro about your dressing?", "how do you define retro by this?" and bla bla bla... It was actually amusing. HEHE.
I dont eat much because I am wearing a [very] high heels and my mom's sunglasses. Disoriented and pretty hard to balance. So a trip to the *yummy* stall outside the hall seems impossible. LOL.

Retro Night Aftermath : The queen is folding the vinyl floor cover. Permaisuri2kan selalu kena buat kerja amal...

Corporate Club Annual Dinner : Black and White

We had a Corporate Club dinner some times ago (Friday Nite). I won the best dress. Honestly, I didnt see it coming at all because everybody looks good that night! My superior won the same award for male category (because he took a half day off to did his hair and went for facial treatment) *haha**..

The rest of the members just took a shower at the office and went straight to the Puteri Restaurant for the dinner... the theme was black and white. Sounds dull and I didnt vote for that theme. ANYWAY, IT ACTUALLY TURNED OUT VERY WELL! Black and white are a classy combination. Kudos to Azura for being the dinner director.

I also won the lucky draw - that's what they called it. (It was actually an exchange of gift because everybody have to buy something for someone else). They only draw the number... Here are the gifts for the nite... I went there with Nazreen only because my husband was pretty occupied with his work at the office and Nabil was asleep.
