15,000th visitor on 6 June 2012

YAY!
I was so shocked to be the 15,000th person to visit my blog this morning.
I told my husband that I targeted 8 June 2012 to reach 15,000. But I have achieved that 2 days earlier. Thanks to all.

Not bad for a not-so-famous blog. Oh, I forgot to mentioned that GARLICANDBUTTER is officially 4 YEARS OLD this JUNE! YAY! I need to celebrate. Perhaps I could order special garlicandbutter cake from my best buddy CEPOI of PassionBite?

Hair bun

You know Nazreen and Nazran have long hair. Sometimes I just couldnt stand their frizzy or their bad hair days.
Simple twisted hair bun is the answer. I love it very much. But of course, they didnt like it. lol. So simple. No rubber band or hair clip.
BETTER!

Kitchen tissue

My kids...
Just give them anything, they will turn it into something interesting.
In this case, instant mask from KITCHEN TISSUE or kitchen towel. Whatever you call it.

Home photography studio

Recently, we sacrificed our dining hall to be a mini photography studio with backdrop, strobist, speedlite and a few other stuff. Until now we didnt have proper area for dining. We keep moving our dining table here and there. But, we dont mind at all. It is FUN. Life supposed to be DYNAMIC.
The best part is everybody could be the model :)
Including me.

Face painting

We went to my office's Family Day.
Kids have their faces painted, except for Nazran.
Nabil wanted something "masculine". Spiderman ;p
Nazreen wanted two black stripes on both cheeks << that was what he actually requested.
They cant stop taking photos of each other afterwards. lol.

School break 04 : Air dry clay modelling

I went to art shop with Nabil. We bought a lot of stuff for school break activities.
One of them is using a modelling clay. I dont like them to play with ordinary plasticine. So I just spend a bit for the air dry clay from the art shop.
Nazran only cut and cut and cut his clay.
Nazreen made a ball which I alter afterwards to be red blood cells (I have no idea what else to do). He didnt quite happy with it anyway. LOL! It will be paper weights for my office.
Nabil made a bus and a pizza. I made everyone a car. They want sport cars.
I made a perempuan car with a lot of detailings. Although they like my car very much, but they didnt want it since it is "feminine". That is the importance of branding.
We let it dry for two days. Then we will paint it. I only have pink and blue paint. So, we will see pink or blue pizza later.

School break 03 : Mexican quesadilla

My kids love to cook.
Nabil offered himself to prepare a snack for tea time. He made quesadillas.

He cut the chicken breast.
I know it is dangerous, but you gotta trust you child.
Then he prepared the filling.
After that, we made the quesadilla. He love (more) tomato sauce in his quesadilla.
I love a bit of mustard for mine.
This is Nabil's quesadilla.
We should do this more often!!
Not only on school breaks.

School break 02 : Giant bubbles

After a week discussing on glycerin mith Mye and Zura, I finally bought a bottle to make a giant bubble solution. I let it settle overnight and the next day, it was a success!!

All you need are sticks and a cotton string (and of course the bubble solution). Since we planned to play the giant bubble within Atok's house compound, we didnt use mop sticks as we supposed to (mop sticks = giant bubbles, satay sticks = not so giant bubbles).

Enjoy the photos. Ignore my unmatched attire.
Nazreen is preparing his cotton string

 Good job, Haziq!!

Nazran's bubble :

Next time we'll play it in the park. With mop sticks and larger cotton string loop.

This is Mye's entry on her giant bubble Saturday.

Don't we all love giant bubbles?

School break 01 : KLCC Park

On the first day of the school break, Saturday, we went to KLCC Park. Unplanned. We met my mom, my aunt, Haziq & Sarah there.
First, they played at the playground, without knowing what's on the other side of the playground *wink*
Not long after that, Nazran discovered the pool. They really enjoyed themselves there.
Then they continue playing.
After that, we went to a steak house. There, you can see the huge purple steak on our table.
Not bad for a first day of the school break.

Rundle Mall, Adelaide

I love to wake up early in the morning, take a breakfast and head to Rundle Street. I just love everything there - the people, shops, flowers, fruits, bicycle for rental and their art installation.

Creepy

I was on my way to the bathroom when I felt something flying on my head. It was so creepy to see my son's Ben 10 floating in the living room at 1.12 am.
I grabbed my camera, snapped the floating Ben 10, went to the bathroom, back to my bedroom and sleep.

White dresser for me

I really wanted to buy Aneboda dresser since last year because I love white furniture and I love the fact that the drawers are semi-transparent. I love everything about it, the height, the drawers, etc. We have bought one unit for my husband but it ends up with my things inside. So, last month, we bought another one - FOR ME. yaay!

The best part is the assembly work. I REALLLLLLLY LOVVVEEEEE to put things together from scratch. First thing first. Make sure the components are neatly arranged. From this :
To this :
You dont want to look for THE RIGHT tiny screw with one hand while holding a heavy drill with the other, every time. You need to study the diagram and identify which component belongs to which part.

Drilling process :

I love the fact that it has a thoughtful details. Just like this one. At the bottom of each drawer.

Almost finish.

Tada!!! Thank you for my husband for his help. Assembly work like this, of course, requires more than one person.
