Useful links on C-sect, VBAC, breech presentation and all

One of my blog readers (RS) commented in one of this blog's entries (here - KEEP ON TURNING!) on repeat c-sect vs VBAC and I strongly feel that I have to share this with everybody (in addendum, below). (Some of you might not be able to view it at that entry because of the NuffnangX comment thingy. I didnt know how to turn it off and go back to usual blogger.com comment section - it kinda upsetting actually - so I copied the whole thing).

Btw…I’m sure you’ve been checking out articles on this and gathering up infos. May I suggest this few links as well in case you’re interested with more… (…erm… In the spirit of sharing, it would probably be good info for others who visit this blog as well. I noticed that you’re quite the ‘celebrity’..lol…just joking!)

(Addendum)

I know people come by to visit and read your blog, and so I thought it would be responsible to update here :) Theres actually new data about the safety index of repeat caesarean section vs vaginal birth after prev scar.

We had a recent discussion with our consultant during one of our usual ward round last weekend. What obstetrician generally practises before and how they thought about Vaginal delivery Vs Repeat caesarean section might just skewed with the emergence of this recent Australian study.

Please read this article first before moving to the journal:

"Is Elective Repeat Cesarean Surgery Truly Safer Than Planned VBAC?"

This is actually an open access paper. So I guess, they want us to read this! :)

Thank you very much, RS!
I believe it is more visible here than in the comment section.

I never quite put this summary of articles to read on this topic on my own blog and FB wall. The funny thing is (this is a confession btw), I actually give this particular post's address the many women I see in my clinic if they want further reading on VBAC and such. Maybe I think it's just easier this way. LOL

Hmm... probably need to activate my long dormant blog. I haven't been writing in a long while. I guess FB serves most of the purpose for info sharing :)

What do you think ?
